New League for Saxons
After a turn of events, Winsford Saxons are pleased to say we have been accepted into the Chester and Wirral football league this coming season.
Abit of a quick process this weekend and a huge thanks to Paul Graham for working tirelessly to ensure the club has a competitive league to play in.

Unwavering passion for football, with spells at Winnington Avenue FC and Cuddington Reserves FC, Gary took over Saxons in July 2019 and lead the team to two cup finals and top of the league in his debut season.

Joe is a talented player, powerful in a tackle and can pass the ball as good as anyone. Talented enough he can cover a variety of positions for the club

Owen joined the club halfway through 2019/20 season, and firmly established himself as our left back with some brilliant performances

Kane joined the club in January 2020, The powerhouse forward went onto finish Saxons top scorer in 2019/20 season. Scoring all kinds of goals, from tap ins too curling free kicks.
Farrell Duncan
Winger
Farrell was another to join Saxons part way through the 2019/20 season, his work rate and flair was a major factor going forward for us.

Centre Midfield
The midfield destroyer, Dean has power, pace and desire in abundance. Takes some stopping once Dean gets going.
Chris Yarwood
Goalkeeper
Chris started 2019/20 season as a 3rd choice goalkeeper, training hard as anyone every week and events transpired and Chris became the clubs #1 at the turn of 2020, and was a huge part in our drive for success

Stud, give him half a yard chances are he will find the top corner. Unbelievable finisher, and great powerful player

Winger
Doddy, hands down the fastest man in Cheshire, runs as hard and as fast in the 90th minute as he does in the 1st, skilful, fast and scores goals. Ultimate winger.

Uncomprimising defender, will defend until the cows come home, tackle a train and stick his head where players wont stick their feet

Young prodigal striker Callum burst onto the scene for Saxons during summer 2020, at just 17 years old he has a great future in football, and already proving his worth with some great performances.

Dylan joined Saxons in summer of 2020 and has proved to be a clever footballer, linking play up between the lines, excellent passer of the ball and breaks teams down with his passing abilities
Who are Winsford Saxons FC
Our beginnings
Since forming in 2015, Winsford Saxons have been competing in the Crewe and District league, in those 5 years the club have won 4 league titles, aswel as District and League cups, totally 7 trophies in 5 seasons, and in two cup finals and top of the league before Covid-19 ended season 2019-20.
Saxons are the current league champions of the Crewe and District league.
Our future
Winsford Saxons in 2019 had new management for the time in the short history of the club, in that time we have built a whole new team with brand new sponsors, the club has progressed at a very fast rate and plans are in place to move the club into the Cheshire Football League
